Hospital Hospitality House of Lexington
has been in continuous operation since 1982 providing accommodations
to relatives and loved ones
of patients in any of the Lexington hospitals. (Please inform guests
that we since we are primarily financed by donations we have a
suggested donation of $10.00/day for assist with the operational
costs for their stay.) We also welcome persons commuting to
Lexington for outpatient services to be our guests before and after
their procedures.
We welcome guests to spend the
night to get the rest they need to enable them to visit and support
their loved one during the day. We also welcome those that don't
want to leave their loved one's side for long to be a "day guest"
and come by to shower, perhaps take a short nap and have a meal.
Space is limited to no more than three beds per family/patient.
Hospital Hospitality House is an
1880's three-story house that our guests can find a 'home away from
home' atmosphere and rest in one of our four separate rooms: two
that house six guests each, one that houses three guests and a guest
room for couples. We also offer a full kitchen, three bathrooms and
laundry facilities for our guests' use.
Please explain to prospective
guests that we are a dorm-style set up and that they will not have
their own room or a bathroom in the room. We do not have wheelchair
access and most guests must be able to negotiate a flight of stairs.
We do our very best to accommodate when we are able to do so.
We thank you in advance for your
assistance and cordially invite you to stop by, at your convenience,
for a tour of the house and some refreshment.
